Step into a senior role with a leading Managing Agent, where you’ll combine hands-on portfolio management with the opportunity to mentor and support junior colleagues. Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Block Manager to oversee a varied portfolio of residential and mixed-use developments while playing a key role in developing the next generation of Property Managers.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio, ensuring service delivery meets the highest standards of compliance, efficiency, and client satisfaction. You’ll provide expertise in all aspects of Block Management, from setting budgets to overseeing major works and leading with resident engagement strategies.

Alongside managing your own portfolio, you’ll play a vital role in supporting junior team members — offering guidance, sharing best practice, and helping them build confidence in their roles. This is a position where your leadership skills will be just as valuable as your technical knowledge, giving you the chance to influence not only your own clients but also the development of the wider team.

Responsibilities you'll take lead on will include:

  • Preparing and managing service charge budgets

  • Handling day-to-day maintenance issues and contractor management

  • Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring compliance

  • Attending AGMs and residents’ meetings

  • Liaising with Leaseholders, Freeholders, RMC Directors and contractors

  • Ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and lease terms

  • Working closely with internal departments to deliver a high standard of service

  • Supporting, training and mentoring junior team members

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in residential block/estate management

  • Ideally ATPI status, but just a willingness to work towards this will be considered

  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

  • Confidence in setting budgets, chairing AGMs and managing Section 20 processes
