Play a key role in delivering reliable financial clarity for clients and Property Managers. This leading Managing Agent is looking for a Service Charge Accountant to take responsibility for a diverse portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidence in every set of accounts.
In this role, you’ll be the trusted point of contact for all service charge matters — from helping set and monitor budgets to producing year-end accounts and providing clients with transparent financial reporting.
Working alongside experienced Property Managers, Directors, and external accountants, you’ll ensure every detail is right and every deadline is met. Your expertise, analytical mindset, and ability to communicate complex information clearly will be valued and recognised from day one.
Responsibilities you'll take lead on will include:
Management of year-end accounts
Working closely with the Block Managers to accurately prepare and managing service charge budgets
Attending internal, client, and auditor meetings to finalise accounts
Producing reports
Management of account reconciliations
Producing client reports
Supporting the Block Managers with any accounts queries day to day and at AGMs on occasion
You’ll have proven experience in service charge accounting, with a solid understanding of budgets, year-end accounts, and relevant legislation. Confidence with property management software and the ability to clearly explain financial information to clients and colleagues will be key to your success in this role.
